Tegernsee

If you are staying a while in Munich before or after the wedding ceremony, it's worth paying a visit to the Tegernsee. It is a beautiful lake, with some nice breweries offering the best of German beer together with some fantastic views. It's less than an hour away with the car and you can also go with the train!

Wine Route South Tyrol

For wine lovers, the Südtiroler Weinstrasse is a nice region to try some new flavors. It spans about 50 km of vineyards and the southmost point is about 1h30m from our wedding celebration. A good region to buy some delicious wines to take back home and remember Italy.

Timmelsjoch

A trip over one of the highest mountain passes in Europe is something we can only recommend if you have the time. Take your time on the way up to 2509m — believe us, you will stop many times to make pictures :). Just make sure to check here whether the road is open. Definitely worth spending an extra couple of hours on the way back to Munich.

The Villa Cortine Palace Hotel is located in Sirmione, Italy — about 40 minutes from Verona airport by car. Please allow between 50 to 80 minutes travel time to reach Villa Cortine Palace Hotel from Verona, just in case :).

While it is possible to get to Sirmione using the train, we definitely recommend renting a car. In case of any trouble, just contact us.

By the way, if you are taking this option, Verona is a very beautiful city and certainly deserves at least a day to check it out.
